Polly Samson

Polly Samson, born in 1962, is an English author. After working in publishing, she wrote novels, short stories and song lyrics. Her novel “Sommer der Träumer” was her third novel; she also published two collections of short stories. She wrote lyrics for four number-one albums, including Pink Floyd’s “The Division Bell” and David Gilmour’s “On an Island”. In 2018, she was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society of Literature.
