Pierre Rabhi

Pierre Rabhi (1938–2021), born in Algeria, was a farmer, environmental activist, and writer. He is regarded as one of the pioneers of organic agriculture in France and was particularly committed to environmentally sustainable development in drought-prone regions. Rabhi founded the organization Colibris and was also described as a poet and philosopher. He died in Algeria in 2021.
