Pia Reinacher

Pia Reinacher studied German, Romance studies and art history in Zurich and Poitiers. In 1987, she completed a doctorate on “The Language of Clothing in the Literary Text.” From 1992 to 2000, she was head of the literary section of the Zürcher Tages-Anzeiger. She subsequently worked as a freelance critic for the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung and as a lecturer in criticism and cultural media work at the University of Basel’s Advanced Study Centre. She also served on several literary prize juries, including those for the Ingeborg Bachmann Competition and the German Book Prize.
