Philippe Beck, born in Strasbourg in 1963, is a French poet who taught philosophy. From 1996 onward, he published numerous poetry collections. His work has been studied by authors including Jean-Luc Nancy, Alain Badiou, and Jacques Rancière, and several of his books have been translated into English, Dutch, and Korean. In 2015, Beck received the Académie française’s Grand prix de poésie for his complete body of work.
