Author · 25 books

Arthur Rimbaud (1854–1891) was a French poet. He began writing in his teens and produced his literary work within only a few years. In Paris, he met Paul Verlaine, with whom he lived for a time. Among his most important works is *Une Saison en enfer*, the only work he undertook to publish himself. Around 1874, Rimbaud abandoned literature and later led a life of travel and trade, including work as an arms dealer in Africa. He died in Marseille in 1891.
