Philip K Dick

Philip K. Dick (1928–1982) was a science-fiction author. His best-known works include the source material for the films “Blade Runner,” “Minority Report,” “Total Recall,” “Impostor,” “Paycheck,” and “A Scanner Darkly” (“Der dunkle Schirm”). His books are particularly known for scenarios in which the nature of reality and the boundary between perception and nightmare play a central role. Dick was born in Chicago and died in 1982, a few weeks before the premiere of “Blade Runner”.
