Peter van Dongen, born in Amsterdam in 1966, is a comic artist and illustrator. Casterman published his comic novel “Muizentheater” in 1990, followed by the first volume of “Rampokan” in 1998. For GANT International, he created the graphic novel “Three Days in Rio” (2013). In 2017, he adapted Adriaan van Dis’s novel of the same name as the graphic novel “Familieziek”. Van Dongen also worked as an illustrator for NRC Handelsblad and museums including Gemeentemuseum Den Haag, the Scheepvaartmuseum Amsterdam and Centraal Museum Utrecht. From 2018 onward, he produced adventures in the “Blake and Mortimer” series, including “The Valley of the Immortals” and “The Last Tiger Shark”.
