Peter Heather

Peter Heather, born in Northern Ireland in 1960, is a British historian. He studied history at New College, Oxford. His academic career included teaching at Worcester College, Oxford, University College London, and Yale University. He subsequently served as Professor of Medieval History at King’s College London. Among his best-known works is The Fall of the Roman Empire, published in German by Klett-Cotta as „Der Untergang des Römischen Weltreichs“ and described as a bestseller.
