Per Petterson

Per Petterson, born in Oslo in 1952, is a Norwegian writer. Before establishing himself as an author, he worked as a librarian, bookseller and translator. His novels include *To Siberia*, *Out Stealing Horses*, *In the Wake*, *I Curse the River of Time*, *It's Fine by Me*, *I Refuse* and *Men in My Situation*. He received the Independent Foreign Fiction Prize for *Out Stealing Horses*. *I Curse the River of Time* won the Brage Prize, the Norwegian Critics Prize and the Nordic Council Literature Prize. Petterson’s books have been translated into numerous languages.
