Paolo Giordano was born in Turin in 1982. He studied physics and earned a doctorate in theoretical physics before working as a writer and journalist. His debut novel, “The Solitude of Prime Numbers,” became an international bestseller, was translated into more than forty languages, and was adapted for film. His later novels include “The Bock of Heaven” and “Tasmania.” For his debut, Giordano received several awards, including Italy’s Premio Strega.
