Paavo Matsin, born in 1970 in Tallinn, Estonia, is an Estonian writer and literary critic. Recurring themes in his work include alchemy, divination and mysticism, which he also treats through parody. In 2016, his novel “Gogol’s Disco” received the Estonian Cultural Endowment Prize and the European Union Prize for Literature.
