Ottessa Moshfegh

Ottessa Moshfegh is an American writer of Croatian and Persian descent, born in Boston. She was included in Granta’s list of the twenty best young American authors. Her novella McGlue received the Believer Book Award and the Fence Modern Prize. Her novel Eileen was shortlisted for the Booker Prize and won the PEN/Hemingway Award. Her other works include My Year of Rest and Relaxation, Homesick for Another World, Death in Her Hands, and Lapvona.
