Olivier David

Olivier David, born in Hamburg in 1988, is a writer, journalist and columnist. After training at the School of Acting in Hamburg, he worked as a theatre educator and speaker before entering journalism in 2018 through a traineeship at the Hamburger Morgenpost. He has written for publications including the daily newspaper nd, Übermedien and Veto Magazin. His memoir Keine Aufstiegsgeschichte was published in 2022, followed by the essay collection Von der namenlosen Menge in 2024. His books address poverty, class relations and mental health. In 2023, he was a recipient of the Konstantin-Andok Literature Prize.
