Norbert Oellers

Norbert Oellers (born 1936) is a German scholar of German literature. Until his retirement, he was a professor of modern German literary history. He served as an editor of the Schiller National Edition, chaired the German Association of Germanists, and was a member of the committee of the German Schiller Society. Oellers published numerous essays, studies, editions, and monographs on German literature from the eighteenth to the twentieth century and held visiting professorships in the United States, Israel, Austria, and Italy.
