Nicolas Barral

Nicolas Barral (born 1966) was born in Paris and studied fine arts for one year in Angoulême. He became known as a comic artist through work for the magazine “Fluide Glacial”, including stories featuring Ernest Mafflu. With Christophe Gibelin, he created the aviation series “Les ailes de plomb”. Together with Pierre Veys, he co-created the humorous series “Baker Street”, which received an award from the Société Sherlock Holmes de France in 1999, and the Blake and Mortimer parody “Les aventures de Philip et Francis”. Barral collaborated with writer Tonino Benacquista on “Dieu n’a pas réponse à tout”. For “Mon pépé est un fantôme”, he worked as the writer, with artwork by Olivier TaDuc.
