Nicola Lagioia, born in Bari in 1973, is an Italian writer. His first novel, “Tre sistemi per sbarazzarsi di Tolstoj,” was published in 2001. His 2009 novel “Riportando tutto a casa” received several awards, including the Premio Viareggio. In 2015, his novel “La Ferocia” was awarded the Premio Strega. Lagioia has also published short stories in various anthologies. From 2013 to 2015, he served on the selection jury of the Venice International Film Festival.
