Nicholas Goodrick-Clarke was a professor of history at the University of Exeter and director of its Centre for the Study of Esotericism. He published works on Paracelsus, John Dee, Heinrich Cornelius Agrippa, Emanuel Swedenborg, and Helena Blavatsky. His notable books include “The Occult Roots of Nazism,” “Hitler’s Priestess,” and “In the Shadow of the Black Sun,” a trilogy of monographs examining connections between millenarianism, esotericism, and Nazism.
