Neil Shubin

Neil Shubin (born 1960) is a paleontologist. His career includes serving as head of the Institute for Organismal Biology and Anatomy at the University of Chicago. He has published in scientific journals such as Nature and Science and was elected to the National Academy of Sciences in 2011. As an expedition leader, he participated in recovering fossils from the polar ice.
