He worked as a colorist on titles including “Spider-Man” and “Batman,” and contributed to “Scott Pilgrim” and “Wonder Woman: Earth One.” Fairbairn was involved in several New York Times bestsellers and was nominated for an Eisner Award. “Paws” was his debut as a writer.
