Nathacha Appanah

Nathacha Appanah, born in 1973, spent her childhood and youth in Mauritius. There, she worked as a journalist for the daily newspaper Le Mauricien before turning to literature. Her novel *The Last Brother* became a bestseller in France, received several awards, and was translated into more than fifteen languages.
