Nate Soares

Nate Soares worked as a software engineer for Google and Microsoft. He later devoted himself to researching existential risks from artificial intelligence and became president of the Machine Intelligence Research Institute (MIRI). Together with Eliezer Yudkowsky, he advocated a drastic slowdown or halt to the development of superhuman AI.
