Natalie Haynes

Born in 1974, Natalie Haynes studied Classics at Cambridge before turning to writing. She published novels and nonfiction, including *A Thousand Ships* and *Stone Blind*. *A Thousand Ships* was shortlisted for the 2020 Women’s Prize for Fiction. Haynes also worked as a journalist and broadcaster, including for the Guardian, the BBC and the Times. Before becoming a writer, she performed as a stand-up comedian. Her radio series *Natalie Haynes Stands Up for the Classics* was released through BBC Sounds and Audible.
