Wolfgang Thon was born in Mönchengladbach in 1954 and studied linguistics, German studies and philosophy in Berlin and Hamburg. He worked as a translator and has also written novels since 2014. For various publishers, he translated numerous thrillers into German, including works by Brad Meltzer, Joseph Finder, Robin Hobb, Steve Berry and Paul Grossman. Thon is the father of three now-adult children.
