Monika Beisner studied painting at the Hochschule für Bildende Künste Braunschweig, the Slade School of Fine Art in London, and the Hochschule der Künste in Berlin. As a freelance artist, she created illustrations for all 100 cantos of Dante Alighieri’s “Divine Comedy,” a central work in her oeuvre.
