Mohsin Hamid

Mohsin Hamid, born in 1971 in Lahore, Pakistan, is a Pakistani writer. He studied literature at Princeton University and law at Harvard Law School. Before beginning his literary career, he worked as a management consultant at McKinsey & Company in New York; he completed his debut novel, “Moth Smoke” (2000), during this period. He gained international recognition with “The Reluctant Fundamentalist” (2007), which was adapted for film by Mira Nair. His other works include “How to Get Filthy Rich in Rising Asia” (2013) and “Exit West” (2017). His novels have been translated into more than 30 languages and have received numerous awards.
