Mihrigul Tursun

Mihrigul Tursun (born 1989) is a Uyghur witness on human rights abuses from Xinjiang. She was detained multiple times in Chinese camps. During her imprisonment, one of her sons died in Chinese custody under unclear circumstances. On November 28, 2018, Tursun testified before the U.S. Congressional-Executive Commission on China about the conditions of detention and methods of torture. In December 2018, she received the Citizen Power Award.
