Michael Schetsche

Michael Schetsche (Dr. rer. pol.) is a political scientist and sociologist. He studied political science at the Otto Suhr Institute of the Free University of Berlin and completed his doctorate and habilitation at the University of Bremen, where he received his teaching qualification in sociology. His academic career includes work as a research coordinator at the Institute for Frontier Areas of Psychology and Mental Health (IGPP) in Freiburg and teaching as an adjunct professor of sociology at the University of Freiburg. His research has focused on the sociology of knowledge and media, cultural sociology, social and cultural anthropology, social problems and anomalies, futurology, and qualitative forecasting.
