Michael Gerard Bauer

Michael Gerard Bauer, born in 1955, is an Australian author of children’s and young adult fiction. His debut novel, Running Man (2007), was nominated for the German Youth Literature Prize and received the 2008 Catholic Children’s and Young People’s Book Prize. His other young adult novels include Nennt mich nicht Ismael!, Ismael und der Auftritt der Seekühe, Ismael – Bereit sein ist alles, Die Nervensäge, meine Mutter, Sir Tiffy, der Nerd & Ich, and Dinge, die so nicht bleiben können. He also wrote the three-volume Rupert Rau series and Mein Hund Mister Matti.
