Michael Georg Bregel

Michael Georg Bregel (born 1971 in Munich) studied political science at the Free University of Berlin, graduating with a degree in political science. He worked as an editor at Radio Mainwelle in Bayreuth and at the Berliner Morgenpost. From 2005 onward, he worked freelance as an author, translator, editor and visual artist, translating comics for major publishers among other projects. His literary publications include “PulsAdernBunt” (1997), “Die Farben Grau” (2001), “Kriegstanz mono” (2003/2020) and “Diesseits” (2021). He also published the graphic novel “Basileia” with Titus Müller. His poetry has received several awards, including the Förderpreis Lyrischer Oktober Bayreuth (1995) and the Salamander Literature Prize (1999); he also received journalism awards from the Konrad Adenauer Foundation.
