Matthias Strobel

Matthias Strobel (born 1967) is a German translator and literary agent. From 1999 onward, he translated Spanish-language literature, and from 2005 he also worked as an agent for Latin American authors. Authors he translated include Alfredo Bryce Echenique. In 2014, Strobel received the sponsorship award of the European Translator’s Prize Offenburg. In 2017, he was among the finalists for the International Literature Award.
