Mathieu Mariolle was born in Paris in 1978. His interest in comics began in childhood, when his father gave him an album from the series Blueberry. Before turning to comic writing, Mariolle worked for several years as the head of a translation department in the gaming industry. He has created series in a range of genres, including thrillers, science fiction, adventure and children’s comics. His works include Nola (2015), created with Flaviano, and Far Cry – Die Tränen von Esperanza (2021), created with Afif Khaled and Salaheddine Basti.
