Xavier Dorison (born 1972 in Paris) is a French comics writer and screenwriter. After studying economics, he turned to writing comics. His breakthrough came in 1997 with the first volume of the historical series The Third Testament, illustrated by Alex Alice; the work received several awards. Dorison subsequently created or co-created the series Prophet with Mathieu Lauffray, Sanctuary with Christophe Bec, and W.E.S.T. with Fabien Nury and Christian Rossi. His other works include the comics adaptation of Les Brigades du Tigre and Long John Silver, again illustrated by Mathieu Lauffray. During his studies, Dorison also helped organize a comics festival.
