Martin Kluger

Martin Kluger (born 1957) wrote numerous city and cultural travel guides as well as nonfiction books on the history of Augsburg and the Fugger family. His publications include “Die Fugger in Augsburg,” “Die Bank der Fugger” and “Augsburgs historische Wasserwirtschaft.” He wrote more than 25 books, including an English-language volume on the Fugger dynasty. In addition to his work as an author, Kluger conceived the Fuggerei Museum and the World War II bunker in the Fuggerei, and developed exhibitions on Augsburg’s historic water management.
