Martin Engler (born 1967) studied theatre studies, philosophy and political science before training in acting at the Ernst Busch Academy of Dramatic Arts in Berlin. He worked as an actor and director at theatres in cities including Vienna, Basel, Nuremberg, Berlin, Lyon and Dublin. He also taught as a freelance lecturer at the Berlin Academy of Dramatic Arts and made short and experimental films. As a voice performer, he took part in numerous radio-play productions in German- and French-speaking regions, including the award-winning children’s radio play *20,000 Leagues Under the Sea* and Heimrad Bäcker’s *Epitaph*.
