Markus Krämer, born in Siegen in 1977, is a neurologist and professor at Heinrich Heine University Düsseldorf. As a senior consultant in neurology in Essen, he specialized in multiple sclerosis and rare neurological disorders. He also wrote the historical book “Was wir lernen mussten …,” which combines family history with an account of the history of flight and displacement in twentieth-century Germany.
