Mark Werner (born 1969) studied German and history. He initially worked as a newspaper reporter and television editor before becoming a screenwriter and head writer for television productions. His credits include the series “Mein Leben & Ich,” “Ritas Welt,” “Alles Atze,” and “Nikola,” as well as the ZDF comedy “Das große Comeback,” which was nominated for the Grimme Award. Werner also published the novels “Hölle, all inclusive” and “Knautschzone.” His work earned him, among other honors, the German Television Award, the German Comedy Award, and the MDR Broadcasting Council Award for Best Screenplay.
