Mark Elliott

Mark W. Elliott is a theologian who received degrees from the universities of Oxford, Aberdeen and Cambridge. He taught at the universities of Nottingham, Liverpool Hope, St Andrews and Glasgow, and was Professor of Biblical and Historical Theology at Highland Theological College, University of the Highlands and Islands. He also served as a Professorial Fellow at Wycliffe College, University of Toronto. From 2015 to 2021, Elliott co-chaired the History of Interpretation Section at the annual meeting of the Society of Biblical Literature and served as editor of Mohr Siebeck’s History of Biblical Exegesis series. His publications include History of Scottish Theology (2019, co-edited with David Fergusson), Providence: Biblical and Theological (2020), and Psalms 42–72 (2023).
