Mark Aurel

Mark Aurel (Latin: Marcus Aurelius) was born in Rome in 121 CE and died in 180 CE. He was Roman emperor from 161 to 180 and is regarded as a major representative of late Stoicism. He became known to history as the “philosopher-emperor.”
