Maritgen Matter

Maritgen Matter, born in 1962, first trained as a teacher and then studied art and design at the Rietveld Academy in Amsterdam. She worked as a freelance illustrator and designer for various publishers. After the birth of her first child, she also began writing. Her debut was the children’s book *Ein Schaf fürs Leben*.
