Marion von Vlahovits was born in Enid, Oklahoma, and worked as a special-needs teacher. She published poetry as well as books for children. Her first poetry collection, Spuren im Herzen, appeared in 2009, followed by her first children’s book, Julian und die Wutsteine, in 2013. Other works include the bilingual book Angels Decke (2014) and the children’s mysteries featuring the canine detective Inspector Gino, whose first case appeared in 2015. Her stories also draw on subjects from her professional environment, with animals often playing an important role.
