Marion Tauschwitz

Marion Tauschwitz (born 1953) studied German and English in Heidelberg. Before becoming a writer, she worked as a secondary-school teacher and lecturer. She was a close confidante and collaborator of the poet Hilde Domin (1909–2006), whose biography, »Hilde Domin. Dass ich sein kann, wie ich bin«, she published in 2009. Her other works include biographies of Selma Merbaum and Pieter Sohl, as well as a novel and an autobiographical novella. In 2015, Tauschwitz was named Author of the Year by the International Association of Women Writers; in 2018, she was admitted to the German PEN Centre.
