Mario Giordano, born in Munich in 1963, is a writer and screenwriter. He studied psychology and philosophy in Düsseldorf. His work includes novels such as the “Apocalypsis” trilogy and the “Tante Poldi” crime series, as well as children’s and young adult books, short stories, radio plays and nonfiction. Giordano has also written screenplays, including for “Tatort,” “Schimanski,” “Polizeiruf 110” and “The Experiment.” His novel “The Experiment” served as the basis for the film of the same name, for which he also wrote the screenplay. His two novels about the Carbonaro family are based on the history of his own family.
