Marina Lewycka

Marina Lewycka was born in a refugee camp in Kiel after the Second World War to Ukrainian parents and grew up in England. She is a British author. Her first novel, *A Short History of Tractors in Ukrainian*, became an international bestseller, was translated into 33 languages, and received numerous awards. Lewycka taught at Sheffield Hallam University.
