Maria Muhle is a philosopher who held a professorship in Philosophy and Aesthetic Theory at the Academy of Fine Arts Munich. She founded August Verlag Berlin. Her research focuses include political aesthetics, media philosophy, mimesis, reenactment, and biopolitics. Her publications include the edited volume “Black Box Leben” (2017, co-edited with Christa Voss) and essays on mimesis, realism, and images of history.
