Margarita Liberaki

Margarita Liberaki (1919–2001) was a Greek writer. Born in Athens, she initially studied law before turning to literature. Her first novel was published in 1945, followed in 1946 by her best-known work, Three Summers, which became a bestseller. Liberaki went on to write further novels and plays and also worked as a translator. She grew up with her grandparents, who ran a publishing house and bookshop in Athens.
