Marcello D'Orta

Marcello D’Orta, born in Naples in 1953, worked for many years as a teacher in the area surrounding Naples, most recently in the earthquake-damaged town of Arzano. He became known for his collections of essays, including “Io speriamo che me la cavo,” published in German as “In Afrika ist immer August” and adapted into a film by Lina Wertmüller.
