Don Luigi Merola, born in Naples in 1972, is an Italian priest who became known for his opposition to the Camorra. He served as a parish priest in some of Naples’s most troubled neighborhoods and founded the »A voce d’ ’e creature« (»The Voice of the Children«) foundation. Its facilities include a day center for children from disadvantaged neighborhoods, established in a villa confiscated from an imprisoned Camorra boss.
