Marc-Uwe Kling (born 1982) is a German author, singer-songwriter and cabaret artist. He studied philosophy and theatre studies at Freie Universität Berlin and began performing at literary stages and poetry slams in 2003. In 2006, he co-founded the literary stage Lesedüne. He became widely known for his Kangaroo stories, including “The Kangaroo Chronicles” and “The Kangaroo Manifesto,” for which he received the German Radio Award in 2010. His other works include the novel “QualityLand” and the children’s books “Princess Popelkopf” and “The NOHORN.” Kling was German Poetry Slam Champion in 2006 and 2007.
