Marc Boutavant, born in Dijon in 1970, is an illustrator, children’s author and comic artist. He is best known for his colorful work and for the characters Mouk and Ariol, whose stories were adapted for television. He has also illustrated books by other authors, including Toon Tellegen’s *One Would Think We Could Get Angry* (“Man wird doch wohl mal wütend werden dürfen”). In 2022, Boutavant received the Grand Ourse at the Salon du livre et de la presse jeunesse in Montreuil.
