Manfred Lütz (born 1954 in Bonn) is a physician, specialist in psychiatry and psychotherapy, and Catholic theologian. He studied medicine, philosophy and theology in Bonn and Rome and was chief physician at the Alexianer Hospital in Cologne from 1997 to 2019. Lütz also performed as a cabaret artist and lecturer and published numerous books. His best-known works include *Gott – Eine kleine Geschichte des Größten* (*God: A Brief History of the Greatest*), *Irre! Wir behandeln die Falschen. Unser Problem sind die Normalen*, *Bluff! Die Fälschung der Welt* and *Der Skandal der Skandale. Die geheime Geschichte des Christentums*. He received the international Corine Literature Prize for *Gott*.
